PRIVATE CLIENTS

The art world can be an intimidating place for those without some inside knowledge. Galleries and art experts often talk about art in an unfamiliar and unnecessarily complex language. Those without experience can become baffled about what they should be looking for in a work of art.

It is our aim to simplify this world for you. We will discuss your requirement, which can vary from the search for a single impressive ‘show’ piece and right through various types of collection to the creation of a valuable portfolio as an alternative to other forms of investment.

We may find that it is best to source your works at auction or via our private contacts. We may suggest purchasing or commissioning direct from the artist and we will may often work with galleries. Whichever method or combination is best you will be in complete control throughout the process.

In many scenarios you will NOT pay us for our services - we often will obtain our fees by way of commissions from the other parties. We will also sometimes be able to negotiate discounts and you may well end up paying less for your portfolio of art - whilst using our expert advice - than by doing it independently.

When we do need to make charges these are never more than 10% of the ex tax purchase cost. On a sliding scale these can go as low as 2%. We think that is pretty good value!
